WHAT IS A WALK-IN TUB?
A walk-in tub, also known as a safety tub or walk-through tub, is a bathtub that features a door. The door allows bathers to avoid stepping over a tub and facilitates transfer from a wheelchair. The seated position provides a safer and more ergonomical bathing method that greatly reduces the chance of slips and falls. Walk-in tubs allow for independence and dignity for the user, and peace of mind for family members and caregivers.



WHO IS A WALK-IN TUB DESIGNED FOR?
A walk-in bathtub can be used by anyone, but they are designed especially to accommodate individuals with limited mobility. Unlike a traditional bathtub, users do not need to step over the tub wall and can relax in a seated position instead of lying down. Seniors can enjoy a more comfortable bathing experience, often with little to no assistance, as most walk in tubs feature easy-to-open doors, grab bars, and very low thresholds for safety. Walk in tubs can also be enjoyed by handicapped individuals as the seat heights facilitate easy transfer from a wheelchair and allow the bather to remain in a seated position. We offer several models of walk-in tubs from different manufacturers and each tub is warranted by their respective manufacturers.   • Life Time Door Seal Warranty

DCE Bathing Systems:

  • The door and door seal are warranted against defects in material
  • and workmanship for the lifetime of the tub, parts only.
  • 15-Year Fiberglass Warranty - The fiberglass structure and supporting steel frame are warranted against defects in material and workmanship under normal use conditions.
  • 1-Year parts warranty - Includes the motors, manifold drain system and thermostatic valve

Access Walk-In Tubs:

  • Lifetime Manufacturer's Warranty on the Door and the Door Seal.
  • 20-Year Limited Manufacturer's Warranty on the Bathtub Longest in the Industry

RANE Tubs:

  • Lifetime replacement of Door Seal
  • 5-years on defects in material and workmanship
  • 3-years on moving and non-moving parts, excluding hoses


HOW ARE WALK-IN TUBS INSTALLED?
Installation of most walk-in tubs is fairly simple though usually must be completed by a licensed plumber to the retain the respective warranty. Some tubs, called retrofit walk-in tubs, are designed to fit inside a standard tub space and other models feature optional filler panels that can be installed to simplify the transition. If the tub is to be installed in a corner (2 walls), you will need either the right or left end panel to complete the tub, depending on which corner the tub is located. For installation in a built-in alcove (3 walls), no end panels would be necessary. Most tubs are available in right and left hand models to suit your needs.



WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOAKING AND JETTED TUBS?
Walk-in soaker tubs feature no jets and offer a traditional bathing experience. Walk-In Tubs Outlet also features walkin tubs with Hydrotherapy Air Jets and Whirlpool Water Jets. Some models feature both air and water jets for personalized comfort.

Hydrotherapy Air Jet systems or Air Bubble systems provide soothing, gentle bubbles to enhance your relaxation and boost circulation.

Whirlpool Water Jet systems feature hot-tub style water jets that offer targeted relief for sore muscles.
